Compaired to “Pirates of the Caribbean” 1,2,and 3, it is my opinion that "Cuttthroat Island" still a step up in cinamatography, and story telling. The olny thing “Pirates of the Caribbean” had in its favor was Jonny Depp and Disney's ability to brain wash the masses in to loving it because Disney said so.

I remember this movie from years ago and thought it was mildly fun at the time...now with much better equipment and the blu-ray at hand...WOW!!!!...I really enjoyed this movie...the picture was near perfect and the 7.1 DTS HD MST audio was absolutely beautiful to hear...if you enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean then you'll love this movie...with all it seriousness in a silly conspicuous way... privided great fun...even the Captain Horatio Nelson Hornblower would think this was a great adventure...so he could laugh at himself... even played by Gregory Peck and Virginia Mayo could make this adventure less interesting...now I may have cheated a little...I have the new Anthem blu-ray Player...and I swear I could put a grilled cheese sandwich in this player and there would no video noise whatsoever...but still this movie tasted justed as any fun movie I've watched whether you like cheesy or not....just have fun...because this movie was worth every cent....Another great addition to my Blu-ray collection!!!
